 IV.   Happy Korean Cooking Class

General information

Instructor: Head Chef Do Hieu (plus 2x Assistants)

Duration: 2.5 – 3 hours/class

Class size: Max 12 students/class

 Class 1: 18h Thursday 14/11/2013

  • Kimchi
  • Japchae is a Korean dish made from sweet potato noodles, stir fried in sesame oil with various vegetables (typically thinly sliced carrots, onion, spinach, and mushrooms)
  • Mantu soup: A traditional Korean soup.

Class 2: 18h Thursday 21/11/2013

  • Seaweed salad
  • Gimbap (A popular Korean dish made from steamed white rice and various other ingredients, rolled in gim (sheets of dried laver seaweed) and served in bite-size slices)
  • Bibimbap (The word literally means “mixed rice”. Bibimbap is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul (sautéed and seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste). A raw or fried egg and sliced meat (usually beef) are common additions.

Class 1: 8h30 Sunday 10/11/2013

  • Steamed snail with ginger leave
  • Cha ca La Vong: The combination of ingredients — turmeric, dill, shrimp paste and fish sauce — delivers an intriguing muskiness bolstered with chiles, silky noodles and a thicket of other fresh herbs to season the chunks of moist fish

Class 2: 8h30 Sunday 24/11/2013

  • Banh bot loc Ha Noi: A Huế food, it consists of tiny rice dumplings made in a clear rice-flour batter, often in a small, flattish, tube shape, stuffed with shrimp and ground pork. It is wrapped and cooked inside a banana leaf.
  • Snail with green banana

You can register through our website http://class.kitchenart.vn/en/lich-hoc. Payment is required at the time of registration. Class availability is first come first serve basis. Classes are limited to 12 participants, so register early to guarantee a spot.
